My name is Jonilyn Ly. I am a Bay Area Artist. I have attained my BA in Art from UC Santa Cruz and my MFA in Animation and Visual Effects at Academy of Art in San Francisco.
In Fine Art, I have trained in various mediums: graphite, charcoals, clay, printmaking, and oils. Figures, cityscapes, old structures fascinate me and inspire me in my work. Currently my projects have focussed on mixed media, playing with textures and colors. I have participated in various art shows in the Bay Area, including Santa Cruz, CA. I also have years of experience working in art galleries and museums such as the Michael Angelo Gallery, Museum of Art and History in Santa Cruz and the Iris & B Gerald Cantor Center for the Arts at Stanford.
In 3D, I am a modeler. I specialize in character modeling and have a vast experience in creating 3D environments. I work with packages such as Maya, Zbrush, 3D Coat, Photoshop and Illustrator. I have worked in freelance and have experience in the tech world: creating and polishing environments for applications.
I strive to put forth my best and continue to grow and learn as an artist. I also believe that as an artist, you share a piece of your soul when you create something you are passionate about.
